Sending Money
Need to send money worldwide? We have a number of options to suit your needs:
- Wire transfers send money electronically from one financial institution to another, in as little as one business day.
- Money orders can take the place of personal cheques, showing the payee that funds have already been received for the item. They are available for a low cost over the counter, in any amount $1000 or less.
- Official Cheques are pre-paid cheques available in most world currencies. The payee must be specified on the cheque, and exchange rates and a service charge apply.
Traveller's Cheques
Cambrian sells American Express Traveller’s Cheques to help your travels be worry-free. Traveller’s cheques can be replaced if lost or stolen, making them a good compliment to cash. We recommend taking a combination of cash, traveller’s cheques, and debit or credit cards with you while traveling to minimize your risk of being stuck without a payment method in the event of loss or theft. We also suggest you do some research into where you can cash traveller’s cheque at your destination, prior to leaving.

MemberCard Debit Card
Besides accessing your account at ATM’s and retail outlets, your MemberCard Debit Card can do so much more for you. It’s safer than carrying cash, because no one can access your account without knowing your secret Personal Identification Number (PIN).
Most purchases made using your debit card qualify for Buyer Protection and Extended Warranty. Buyer Protection is like an insurance coverage for your debit purchases, covering you in the event of direct physical loss of the item resulting from theft, damage, or destruction of the item within 90 days of the purchase date. Extended Warranty doubles the warranty period on a purchased item for up to one full year.
