Voting Now Open — 2026 Election of Directors

The Nominating Committee of the Cambrian Board of Directors is pleased to announce that voting is now open in the 2026 Election of Directors.

In 2026, three (3) director positions are up for election, each for a 3-year term. Four (4) members have allowed their name to stand as candidates for these positions. Of these candidates, the THREE with the highest number of votes will be elected to fill the vacancies on the board of directors.

Cambrian is committed to the highest standards of governance. Your board works to ensure it comprises directors with the necessary experience, attributes, competency and diversity needed to provide the required level of oversight. For this year’s call for nominations, it was determined that qualified candidates with the following expertise and experience would best complete the needs of the board:

  • Experience in board governance, particularly with for-profit corporate boards similar in size and scope to Cambrian Credit Union. Ideally, candidates should have served as Chair, Vice-Chair and/or Chair of a committee.
  • Expertise in strategic oversight of technology and enterprise risk management within a complex regulatory environment.
  • Executive-level experience, including C-Suite roles, with strategic oversight in accounting and finance, preferably in the financial services sector.

The Nominating Committee then sought candidates with those attributes and, with insights gained through candidate applications and interviews, endorsed those who would bring the most overall value to the board if elected. After careful consideration of all applications received, the board has endorsed four (4) candidates for the 2026 Director Election.

*Endorsed by the Board of Directors

I have been a member of Cambrian Credit Union for more than 40 years and have proudly served as a board director for the past six years. During this time, Cambrian has continued to grow and evolve while staying true to what matters most—delivering value to members and supporting the communities we serve.

As a director, I have helped provide strong governance and thoughtful oversight during a period of major change in the financial services sector. Alongside my fellow directors, I have supported Cambrian through economic uncertainty, rising interest rates, increased regulatory demands, and rapid digital change. I have supported investments in digital and virtual banking, improved member services, and stronger fraud prevention—while ensuring that personal service and member trust remain at the heart of the Cambrian experience.

I bring more than 35 years of senior executive experience in financial and investment services, including leadership roles with some of Canada’s largest and most highly regulated financial institutions. This experience enables me to provide informed, independent judgment and effective oversight at the Cambrian board table. I am a founding executive and former President of People Corporation, a publicly traded Winnipeg-based company. Previously, I was a partner with Connor, Clark & Lunn Financial, Canada’s leading provider of investment solutions; Vice-President with AIC Group of Funds (Manulife Financial); Regional Manager with RBC Insurance; and Regional Manager with Great-West Life (Canada Life).

I am deeply committed to strengthening Manitoba’s communities and economy. I have served as Chair of the Women’s Enterprise Centre of Manitoba and as a board director with Youth Employment Services of Manitoba, supporting entrepreneurship, employment, and inclusive economic growth. I am also a long-time community volunteer in St. Andrews, Selkirk, and North Winnipeg, as well as with Hockey Manitoba and other local organizations.

My commitment to strong governance is supported by ongoing education and professional credentials, including a Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) in Finance from the University of Manitoba and the Accredited Canadian Credit Union Director designation from Dalhousie University. I am an active member of the Canadian Institute of Corporate Directors and was honoured to receive the 2022 Canadian Women on Boards Award, which honours women who have had an impact as board directors.

I am seeking re-election to continue supporting Cambrian’s long-term financial strength, sustainability, and continued delivery of value to members—now and for future generations.

I am honoured to submit my candidacy for election to the board of directors of Cambrian Credit Union. I have more than 30 years of experience in senior professional, advisory, and board roles, with a focus on financial stewardship, risk oversight, and long-term sustainability.

I am a Chartered Professional Accountant, Licensed Insolvency Trustee, Fellow of the Canadian Association of Insolvency and Restructuring Professionals, and holder of the ICD.D designation.

I spent the vast majority of my career with Ernst & Young LLP, a global professional services firm, including 14 years as a Partner and Senior Vice President. I served as Managing Partner of the Winnipeg office from 2015 to 2021. In my practice I advised boards, management teams, lenders, and regulators in highly regulated environments. Currently I am President of Healey Consulting Services Inc., providing strategic finance and advisory services to privately held organizations.

My professional experience includes advising financial institutions, businesses, and not-for-profit organizations on governance, credit risk, restructuring, and strategic decision-making. This work has reinforced the importance of independent judgment, disciplined oversight, and prudent risk management in protecting Cambrian members’ interests.

My board experience comprises serving as board member and Chair of the Audit Committee for Agrihub Inc., Treasurer and Chair of the Finance, Audit and Risk

Management Committee of MS Canada, as well as board and committee roles with ARIL Society Inc.

I’m also actively involved in governance education through the Institute of Corporate Directors Manitoba chapter and have been a long-time volunteer leader with United Way Winnipeg.

I believe effective governance and a clear understanding of the credit union business model are essential to maintaining member trust in a rapidly evolving financial services environment.

Having lived and worked in Winnipeg for over 17 years, I recognize and value Cambrian’s commitment to community impact and local engagement. I firmly believe in the positive role that strong institutions can and should play in supporting communities.

If elected, I will bring a collaborative mindset, a commitment to continuous learning, and a strong sense of integrity, honesty and stewardship in service of Cambrian’s members and the credit union’s long-term success.

Thank you for reviewing my profile and considering my candidacy. I am eager to contribute to the governance and oversight of Cambrian Credit Union.

I’m grateful to be considered for the Cambrian Credit Union board of directors. Cambrian’s mission to simplify banking and support the financial well-being of its members genuinely inspires me. I care deeply about creating accessible, member-focused solutions, and I believe innovation should make life easier while still preserving the human connection that builds real trust.

I value transparency, putting members first, thoughtful competitiveness, community involvement, and continuous improvement. These principles guide my work and decision making to create lasting value for our members and communities. I’m confident my governance experience will strongly support this important work.

I own Murphy’s Executive Leadership, where I coach and consult in board governance, strategic planning, and executive development. I’ve also led three organizations as CEO and held roles in strategy, governance and auditing with national and international firms.

These experiences have strengthened my ability to guide strategy, support major change, and help organizations increase their impact.

I bring extensive experience in governance, risk and project oversight, financial stewardship, and strategic planning, along with a strong understanding of how effective boards make sound decisions. Throughout my career, I’ve helped organizations succeed through integrity, collaboration, and solid governance practices. I take a warm, inclusive approach—facilitating conversations, asking thoughtful questions, and ensuring everyone feels heard—so decisions stay focused on what matters most to members.

I’ve had the privilege of chairing several boards, including my current role as Chair of St. Boniface Hospital, a large and highly regulated organization. I’ve also enjoyed serving as Chair of both the Winnipeg and Manitoba Chambers of Commerce, and I’ve led the Finance & Audit Committees for the former Crown Corporations Council and the Manitoba Centennial Centre Corporation.

I’ve contributed as an external committee member on the Finance, Audit and Risk Committee at Doctors Manitoba, and I’ve chaired the Governance Committee for both the Reh Fit Centre and St. Boniface Hospital. I also had the opportunity to lead three task groups as part of the Premier’s Economic Advisory Council. These experiences have given me a rich understanding of governance across different sectors and organizations.

My credentials reflect my commitment to strong ethics, excellent financial oversight, and continuous learning. I hold an undergraduate degree from the University of Manitoba and earned my Chartered Professional Accountant/Chartered Accountant designation (CPA/CA), and was elected a Fellow (FCPA, FCA) in 2016. I also hold the ICD.D designation from the Institute of Corporate Directors, along with credentials as a Chartered Professional in Human Resources (CPHR) and a Certified Management Consultant (CMC). In addition, I’m an internationally accredited executive coach through the International Coach Federation.

If elected to the board, I’ll draw on my skills and experience to help navigate challenges with confidence and to support opportunities that will strengthen our credit union’s growth and impact. I’m genuinely excited about the opportunity to work together with the board and executive team to uphold Cambrian’s values and champion initiatives that support members and strengthen our community.

I am seeking re-election to the board of directors of Cambrian Credit Union after completing my first term as a director. It has truly been an honour to serve our members during a time of economic uncertainty, shifting regulatory expectations, and rapid change across the financial services landscape.

I bring to the board a professional background rooted in audit, risk management, and governance. This includes serving as an auditor at Manitoba Hydro for over 20 years, specializing in information technology, contract, and operational engagements. During this time, I acquired extensive knowledge of operations and processes in all business units, identified gaps in performance and recommended solutions, some of which resulted in changes to corporate policies. Prior to my time at Manitoba Hydro, I served as an Internal Auditor at Western Canada Lotteries Corporation for over six years.

These experiences have shaped my commitment to strong fiduciary oversight, effective internal controls, and thoughtful, disciplined risk stewardship. As a director, I rely on evidence-based analysis, independent judgment, and a deep appreciation for the board’s responsibility to protect Cambrian’s long-term financial well-being while always acting in the best interests of our member owners.

Over the past term, I have served on the Nominating Committee and currently sit on both the Audit Committee and the Risk Oversight Committee. Through this work, I have supported the board’s oversight of financial performance, enterprise risk, internal controls, and governance processes. I value transparency, accountability, and constructive dialogue—ensuring the board has the clarity and confidence it needs to make sound, forward-looking decisions.

In today’s global environment, where economic and policy shifts far beyond Canada’s borders can influence local financial stability, the board’s role in risk oversight has never been more important. Throughout these challenges, I have remained committed to governance practices that help Cambrian stay resilient, well capitalized, and focused on delivering value to members—while maintaining the appropriate balance between board oversight and management’s operational leadership.

Looking ahead, continuity and strong governance will continue to be essential as Cambrian navigates a complex and evolving landscape. My priorities include safeguarding financial strength, ensuring robust risk oversight, and supporting strategic investments that enhance member experience while upholding the cooperative principles that make Cambrian unique.

If re-elected, I will continue to serve with integrity, independence, and diligence. I am committed to contributing my expertise in audit, risk, and governance to support Cambrian’s ongoing success as a trusted, resilient, and member-focused credit union.

Thank you for your consideration, and for your continued engagement as a member-owner of Cambrian Credit Union.
