Unstoppable potential

Every year, Cambrian awards academic bursaries to Manitoba students through the Learning for Life scholarship.

The Learning for Life scholarship opens to Cambrian members annually in April and closes May 31.

What is the Learning for Life scholarship?

Cambrian’s Learning for Life scholarship supports continued education by awarding bursaries to Cambrian members who who exemplify leadership, community service, and academic success.

The scholarship award is open to any Cambrian member who will be attending a recognized post-secondary institution in Manitoba.

Since the start of this program, Cambrian has proudly provided $199,000 to students who are continuing their studies at the post-secondary level.

Supporting Education

Along with Learning for Life, Cambrian also provides funding to a number of local organizations in support of education-based programs in the community, including:

Folklorama Ambassadors’ General Scholarships
Cambrian is proud to support the Folklorama Ambassadors’ General, an initiative that celebrates diversity and promotes cultural understanding.

Every year, we donate $4,000 to the Folklorama Ambassadors General scholarships. Each AG receives $1,000 to support ongoing education and training.

Business Council of Manitoba Indigenous Education Awards
The Indigenous Education Awards program offered through the Business Council of Manitoba is committed to assisting and providing opportunities for Indigenous students in Manitoba to achieve a post-secondary education.

Cambrian has been a long-term supporter of this program, which has been in place for 21 years. Annually, we donate 4 scholarships valued at $1,000 each.

Together, we are working toward Economic Reconciliation in Manitoba to make a difference in the lives of Indigenous students across the province.

FortWhyte Farms Youth Internship Summer Employment Program
In partnership with FortWhyte Farms, Cambrian has donated $6,000 towards summer employment placement to help students build confidence and leadership skills.

FortWhyte Farm’s Youth Internship Summer Employment Program allows youth from Winnipeg’s core areas to engage in sustainable agriculture, financial literacy skills, and production and marketing skills.

This program provides students with better economic security through professional development, as well as builds a strong sense of community and inclusion.
