Cambrian’s 2026 Election of Directors

Every year, Cambrian’s board of directors is elected by our membership through a democratic voting process.

Voting in now open in our 2026 Election of Directors. You can vote from Cambrian’s website or mobile app using your smartphone, computer, or tablet. You can also vote by telephone.

‍

Digital voting is safe, secure, and completely anonymous to Cambrian Credit Union and the board of directors.

How to cast your vote

‍

There are a few ways to vote:

‍

1. Log in to online or mobile banking and follow the link in the pop-up window. The link will take you directly to the election website, which will include introductory statements for each candidate to help you make your decision.
2. Alternatively, you will receive an email with your ballot number and password. You can follow the link in the email to the election website, enter your ballot number and password, and cast your vote that way.
3. For members who don’t have an email address on file, you will receive a letter with the same information, and you can go online and enter your ballot number and password.
4. If you prefer to vote by phone, you’ll be happy to hear that telephone voting will be offered again. Call the toll-free voting line at +1 (877) 715-5651, listen to the candidate options, and vote via touchtone. If you’d like to hear the candidate statements first, call (204) 925-4220 to review them.

It only takes a couple minutes to vote, but it is so important. Your vote counts!

Once the votes are validated and the election results are tabulated, we will announce the results at our Annual General Meeting on April 14.

Why should I vote?

As a Cambrian member, you’re a part-owner of our credit union, and you have a say in who serves on your board of directors.

Our board of directors is made up of members, elected by members - that’s you!

The role of the board is to provide strategic oversight to guide the future of Cambrian and to ensure the credit union continues to thrive for our members and community.

Please consider voting this year. Your vote counts! Every vote is important to the democratic process of ensuring that our board represents you, our members.

Plus, for every vote cast in 2026, Cambrian will donate $1 to Habitat for Humanity Manitoba. Habitat Manitoba is a not-for-profit housing organization that believes everyone deserves a safe and decent place to live. Since 1987, they’ve helped build homes for more than 500 families in our community!

‍ Why our elections are fully digital

‍

In 2025, Cambrian made the decision to transition to a fully digital director election voting process for several reasons:

‍

• ‍Convenience. Based on the growing adoption and preference for digital platforms, members can cast their vote by the device of their choice: laptop, desktop computer, smartphone, tablet, or telephone.‍
• Environmental considerations. By eliminating paper ballots, we’re reducing our impact on the environment.‍
• Cost-effectiveness. Online or telephone voting comes at a lower cost than paper ballots, given the significant increase in postage over the years.
