What is the difference between account balance and available balance?

Account Balance is the total amount of money in your account, including any funds that have holds.

Available Balance is the total amount of money in your account and any available line of credit and overdraft, minus any funds that have holds.

Overdraft fees are determined using your available balance.

Cheques that have not yet cleared your account or deposits that have not yet been posted to your account will not be calculated into the account balance or available balance.
