What is the difference between an account number and a member number?

When you open an account at Cambrian, you become a member of the credit union and you get a member number. The member number is essentially your account number. This is the number you will use to login to Online Banking, Mobile Banking or transact at the branch.

Under your member number, you can hold many banking products (Chequing, savings, loan, mortgage, GIC, RRSP, etc.).

You can have more than one member number. For example, if you have two accounts - your account and a joint account.

No matter the number of member numbers that you may have, each member only has one member share in the credit union.
